Louis Georges Erasme, Marquis de CONTADES, Maréchal de France in 1758 - Autograph letter signed at the top "Le Mal de CONTADES", to M. BARÉ Architect in Paris (envelope enclosed), at Séchelles by COMPIÈGNE this September 25, 1772. 1page in-8°: "Mr le Mal de CONDATES has sent Mde HERAULT the letters from Sieur JUMIERS and the new plan by the Angevin architect. He instructs Mde HERAULT to send everything back to Mr BARRÉ, who has replied directly. This man took advantage of the time that Mr. Marquis de CONTADES was away on another of his father's lands to send his beautiful ideas. We'll never finish with him unless Mr BARRÉ tells him positively that he has orders from Mr Marquis not to reply to anything that is not sent by Mr his Son. Mde Herault sends a thousand compliments to Mr BARRÉ and always has the greatest desire to show him her little manor."
