AUDE. 1815. Proclamation from Vicomte De CHAMPAGNY Colonel, aide de Camp to H.R.H. Mgr Duc d'Angoulême, Commandant of the AUDE Department, to the Sub-Officers and Soldiers of the Colonel-General Regiment (10th Line Infantry.) - Done in Carcassonne on August 11, 1815: "Sous-Officiers and Soldiers, Many of you have left your flags to return to your homes... Your Regiment is going to reorganize in PERPIGNAN... So come on, Soldiers of the 10th, rally around the flag of all French infantry... This Flag has not been soiled by any cowardly treason.... S.A.R. Mgr Duc d'Angoulême, in leaving France, took it with him... Let all those who are going to join, come and find me in CARCASSONNE, and I will have them directed to their Regiment...".
