Cycling / Tour/ Coppi/ Caravane/ Foret/ Hexagone/ D.Clément/ - Lot 33
Cycling / Tour/ Coppi/ Caravane/ Foret/ Hexagone/ D.Clément/ FFC/VCL. Ten pieces, including two on the famous 1949 Tour, that of Coppi and Marinelli, and eight on French cycling:a) plate of 21 vignettes illustrating the route of the Tour and thus the 21 stages covered from June 30 to July 24. Each city in blue with red lettering is a poem. Rarely has the Tour been so artistically treated in such a small volume. An achievement by the late, great Joseph Foret (1901-1991). 22,7x11,5. The views of Rouen, La Rochelle, Pau, Nîmes, Marseille, Colmar or Nancy are beautiful; b) Metal pin with the 1949 Tour route. A souvenir that was sold forced by the terrible picquots (or picots) on the course, and never seen until now. Diam: 3cm; b) three buttonhole badges (VCL, VCP, VGS), two Comité de Bretagne charms (enamelled coat of arms, 1960s), two embroidered fabric badges (Comité Tahiti, Fédération du Québec), and, above all, a very rare "Moniteur-Entraineur-FFC" (10.5x7.5) crest (embroidered with a golden cockerel and three colors), probably by the late Daniel Clément (1916-1997), who created the FFC's entire management training program (circa 1950). Very rare set.
