Cycling/ Lyon/ Bourg /Tailleur. Large, handsome copper medal of a participant in the Lyon-Bourg-Lyon race of April 26, 1903. Organized by the Magasins du "Tailleur pauvre", the race was open to pros, amateurs and speed racers. Over 143 km, via Amberieu, it was a huge success, with several winners: Stéphanois in the pros (2nd Mercier from Geneva and 5th Brange, two future Tour riders), Putinier in the amateurs and Collin from Marseille in the sprinters (2nd Ellena, 4th Oreggia, 8th Nazo). Ceres on obverse, laurels and inscription "Course du Tailleur pauvre, 26 avril 1903". Diameter: 5 cm. A time when merchants and guilds organized numerous promotional and detection events. A curiosity.
