Football/ Barthez/ Luzenac/ Ariège. Shirt signed "Ligue 2, S - Lot 190
Football/ Barthez/ Luzenac/ Ariège. Shirt signed "Ligue 2, Socofran, CDE, JD Promotion, with embroidered fabric patch LAP (Luzenac, Ariège, Pyrénées, with Izard). This new Adidas garnet jersey is a collector's item belonging to the history of French soccer, as it is linked to the painful episode linked to the non-accession of Club Ariégeois de Luzenac (Luzenac Ariège Pyrénées) to Ligue 2 in 2014. The club's rise to the top, which was snatched from Occitanie, could not have been fairer or more deserved, and was therefore supported by an entire region, led by legendary goalkeeper and world champion Fabien Barthez (87 caps, 606 matches at the highest level). Indeed, the divine bald man (hello Laurent Blanc) had been the club's general manager since December 2013. The club's hard-fought promotion to Ligue 2, which was accepted by the Toulouse administrative court, was rejected in August 2014 by the LFP, which refused to grant the club professional status on the grounds that the stadium did not meet the required safety and capacity standards. According to LFP president Frédéric Thiriez, the club had failed to respond to requests for work to be carried out. And so, despite many dignified and official representations, the DNCG and CNOSF ratified the refusal. Faced with this wall, the pennant team was disbanded in September 2014; a terrible waste, which looks like a profound injustice. The supporters were there, the new jerseys were ready, the proof. This one was donated by Fabien Barthez to a leading journalist who supported the cause of Le Petit Poucet. The club had ordered the right number, so this one is very rare. Unfortunately, it's new.
