This set gives an idea of the worldwide influence of the Games, even in the antipodes:a) 2 envelopes 1st day illustrated Ceskoslovenko (with diff stamps); b) 2 envelopes Monaco, 1st day (3/4/56); c) Saarland, an antique card, 1 FDC oath, 24/9/56; d) Bremen envelope, illustrated cancel, Olympic day (24/9/56); e) USSR, envelope, 5 stamps, and 2 illustrated cancels, one red, celebrating Soviet achievements in soccer, gymnastics, weightlifting or boxing, not forgetting Kuts; f) Bulgaria, 1st day Sofia (4 stamps); g) Poland, 5 pieces, including 4 envelopes with Melbourne stadium cachet, 7 Polish achievements stamps, a card with the long jumper, Dunska-Krzesuska.
