Olympic Games/ Coubertin/ Olympic Cup/ Tokyo. Two rare identical plates (one in silver, slight oxidation, the other in bronze) celebrating the famous "Olympic Cup". Designed by Huguenin, this coin features the Cup on the obverse with the winged victory tending the laurel, and on the reverse the 6-line text: "The Olympic Cup, created by Baron Pierre de Coubertin, renovator of the Olympic Games in the modern era, has been awarded to the city of Tokyo"...and this after the successful organization of the 1964 Summer Games. H: 7.2cm, W: 5. Rare.
