CADOL (Edouard): La Grand-Maman. Comedy in 4 prose acts. First performed at the Comédie Française on May 17, 1875. Complete manuscript of this play, dated Asnières February 19, 1872-August 16, 1873, bound in one in-12 volume in contemporary long-grained mauve half-mroquin, spine lise orné. Manuscript offered by the author to his friend Pierre Berton, actor and playwright, Pierre François Samuel Montan by birth. Edouard Cadol was launched and supported in his literary beginnings by Georges Sand. He enjoyed theatrical success with his play "Les Inutiles", wrote a number of volumes of short stories and novels, and collaborated with Jules Verne on the theatrical versions of some of his novels, such as Around the World in Eighty Days.
