CINEMA - Henri COLPI (1921-2006, director) / Superb autograph letter signed, 2 p in-4, Carros May 23, 1961, to Max Favalelli (then film critic for "Dernières Nouvelles d'Alsace") about his film "Une aussi longue absence": He has just received a new accolade for this film, the Palme d'Or at the Cannes Film Festival, after having received the Prix Louis Delluc some time before, and he warmly thanks his correspondent for his support, "the public is still unaware of it, for my part, I very much hope that the public will go for it, but I won't know that for a few weeks yet" - Jasmine Chasney, who edited the film, has also signed on.
