PROVENCE - Léo LELEE (Léopold, 1872-1947, Provencal illustrator of the Art Nouveau School, famous for his drawings of Arlésiennes) / Correspondence of 4 autograph letters signed, total 12 p in-8, all on the letterhead "A l'Image Prouvenceau" (he had opened a Provençal souvenir store that became a meeting place for Provençal artists and poets), Arles, 1906-1907, to Aix lawyer and félibre Jean-Marie Demolins (co-founder with Joachim Gasquet of the magazine "Les Mois dorés"): he talks about his activities (decorating the Forum's dining room, work on his store, etc.), his cash-flow worries, Gasquet's "here comes the season again, the gold-bearing English we'll try to channel", he recommends a very fine book on the Camargue printed in 200 copies illustrated by Saintes-Maries-de-la-Mer painter Ivan Pranishnikoff, etc.
