GARD. 1796. "Proclamation from Hilarion PUGET, Divisional General commanding the 9th Military Division, to the young men of the Requisition, to the Volunteers who have not joined their Battalions." "A decree issued by Government Commissioner FRÉRON, states: From 25 Pluviôse (Year 4, February 14, 1796), military commanders will have their parents present the certificates of Volunteers or Young Requisitioners, attesting to their arrival at their Battalions; failing which, they will garrison the said parents' homes to a greater or lesser extent."
