DORDOGNE (Périgord Noir) - Maurice ALBE (1900-1995, painter, engraver and sculptor) / "Les Mois de l'Année" (The Months of the Year), a fine group of representative works by this artist who loved to depict popular country traditions: 13 original pen-and-ink drawings (chq 12 x 15.5 cm), which were used for a print run of 14 original black woodcuts (chq approx. 14 x 21 cm, qq foxing or yellowing) and a print run of 11 polychrome woodcuts, proofs with color samples (14 x 18 cm, qq foxing or yellowing).
