FRANCOIS 1er (1494-1547) / Charter on vellum signed in his hand, countersigned by the King's Secretary Jehan Breton, given at Mantes on September 26, 1540, by which François 1er orders the payment of a sum of two écus to be taken from the sale of the office of sergeant à cheval "en ses chapelles de Paris" made vacant by the death of the late sieur Hièvre de Chaulne, parchment 47 x 23 cm presented in a 70's gilded wood frame - about the condition, the parchment has been preserved from light and the ink remains very fresh, there are traces of old dampening and traces of soiling inside the frame (dust), one corner of the baquette is missing, the frame with its green marie-louise retains the charm of the curisités cabinets
