WAR 14-18 - MAISONS-ALFORT / Important manuscript "Impressions de Guerre" (Impressions of War) by Amédée CHENAL (1852-1919, born and died in Maisons-Alfort, always lived there, set up as a carpentry contractor, served as mayor, general councillor and deputy, retired from political life in 1914): in 100 chapters, corresponding to 100 days of writing, from June 1914 to June 1919 (he was to die in October 1919), i.e. around 500 p (in-8 oblong), he gives a chronicle with political analyses of events and situations, often commenting on newspaper articles (which have remained appended to the manuscript - very interesting "on-the-spot" testimonies / Enclosed: a few documents from this period concerning his life in Maisons-Alfort.
