MECHANICAL MILL 1920 - Japan (1) RARISSIME Antique toy, or... antique? Both, my captain! This marvelous little mill, presented on a richly lithographed metal stand with four rosettes, dates from the 1920s. Made by an unknown Japanese brand. It is driven by a clockwork mechanism concealed in the base with key, and still works: the movement drives the rotation of the colored rosettes alternately from left to right. Dimensions 15 x 8 x 17 cm. The fine lithograph, virtually intact, is a pure marvel. Antique toy or antique? In any case, a charming work of art... almost contemporary with Emperor Hiro-Hito!
