THE ESCADRE
VERY RARE
The first version of the Escadre was marketed in 1910. This one, comprising 6 ships on wheels pulled by a mechanical battleship, can be dated to 1912. The battleship (L: 21 cm), the only one with a motor, runs on its 3 wheels, the front one being adjustable and eccentric, to simulate the effects of pitching. Like the ships, it is made of lithographed sheet metal and bears the inscription "Dreadnought". Details of the 6 ships (14 cm long): 2 blue, 1 with cannon; 2 red with cannon; 2 yellow, 1 with cannon. There are 3 flagpoles (French) out of 7. The toy is completed by 7 wire fasteners (straight, square and triangular) enabling the squadron to be assembled as desired, as illustrated in the vintage instructions. Very good condition, without box.
