MECCANO - France (1) HORNBY "PEGASUS" RACING BOAT Ref. N° 2, Pegasus. Produced in 1932. Version without pilot. Red hull, rail and rudder, cream hood, blue piping, propeller and fittings. With visor. Spring-loaded motor with key, on/off switch, works. "Pegasus" in gold decal on either side of the bow, stamped Canot Hornby, Meccano on the stern. Length: 32 cm. Excellent condition. Missing nut and thread collar of a hatch cover fastener. With key pouch and well-preserved original box, reference label and label (partly torn) from a Clermont-Ferrand store, with selling price at the time: 50 Frs. A handcrafted wooden ber (stand) is included. Condition: B+/c+
