RADIGUET (& MASSIOT*) - France (1) LIVE STEAMER EXCEPTIONAL! Very rare 2-masted civilian model, length 39 cm, produced between 1905 and 1910. The zinc hull, painted black and bronze, is highlighted by a bronze-colored scroll, and bears the brass griffin (characteristic of Radiguet boats) as a figurehead. Varnished mahogany deck, 3-blade propeller, tiller and rudder. Live steam engine, copper and brass boiler, alcohol burner. Brass railings around the heating chamber and the 2 companionways. Very fine original condition, a few chips on the lower part of the hull, untested. A handcrafted ber is included, specially designed for this exceptional piece. * A. Radiguet and M. Massiot joined forces in 1905.
