SCEAUX (Hauts-de-Seine). Letter signed Louis Auguste de BOUR - Lot 135
SCEAUX (Hauts-de-Seine). Letter signed Louis Auguste de BOURBON, written from SCEAUX (92) on April 23, 1736 (1 month before his death), to Mr MIALHE in PAVIE requesting the Cross of the Order of SAINT-LOUIS. 2 pages (21.5 x 16.5 cm): "It is very likely that the King will grant the Cross of Saint Louis to all those for whom I am requesting it, even though they deserve it by their services, and it would be quite useless, now that the promotion has been made, for me to send the Court a new memorandum to obtain this grace for you. It is necessary that you wait until it pleases His Majesty to make a new promotion to Chevalier de St Louis. L. A. de Bourbon - In 1690, the Domaine de SCEAUX was sold to Louis auguste de BOURBON, Duc du Maine, Duc d'Aumale, prince Souverain de Dombes, Comte d'Eu (St-Germain-en-Laye 1670-Sceaux 1736), legitimate son of King Louis XIV and Madame de MONTESPAN.
