MARÉCHAL DE BELLE-ISLE. Letter signed Louis Charles Auguste - Lot 163
MARÉCHAL DE BELLE-ISLE. Letter signed Louis Charles Auguste FOUQUET, Duc de BELLE-ISLE (1684-1761), who was Marshal of France in 1741, from VERSAILLES (78) on October 5, 1759, to the Duchess of FITZ-JAMES. 2 pages in-4°: "Mr le Duc de FITZ-JAMES had already informed me, Madame, of everything,... about the conduct of M. DARCY Lieutenant-Colonel of his Regiment.
