He is preparing the funeral ceremony for Maréchal BESSIÈRES Duc d'Istrie (Jean Baptiste) Prayssac / Lot 1768 - Rippach (All.) 1813. 1p in-4°: "Monsieur le Duc, Mr MARTINI, author of L'Amoureux de quinze ans, du droit du seigneur, composer of several charming works which place him on the same side as Grétry, asks me to write to you on his behalf; he would like Your Excellency to order the performance of a messe des morts he has composed for the funeral ceremony of the Maréchal Duc d'ISTRIE (Bessières); Much is said about this score; if, as Mr Martini believes, you have not given your orders, nor made your choice for the musical part of this Ceremony, allow me to recommend to your particular benevolence the recognized talent and estimable person of Mr MARTINI.
