Autograph letter signed, from theFORT DE HAM prison (Somme), where he and his colleagues were sentenced to life imprisonment, written on March 30, 1834, to Mr. FOURNIER, at Baron BOUTIN's, Paris. 2 pages large in-8° plus address page: "Je vous remercie Mille fois, Monsieur, votre lettre m'a fait un extrême plaisir... Since my children's journey was made without any unpleasant adventures, the regret of their departure will be softened a little... Please continue, Monsieur: your good care and your excellent method could not fail to have my approval. So they have my full approval. Your pupils will, I hope, respond to my efforts with the most precious consolation I can still receive..."
