Charming oval fly box mounted in gold. French work from the late 18th - early 19th century. The interior reveals two flap compartments and a mirror. The lid is adorned with an allegorical miniature of love in a wide gold frame. Tiny hallmarks, probably Ancien Régime touchau hallmarks, which were intended to be "as small as possible". 5.7 cm x 4.2 cm 1.9 cm high 42.87 grams.
