Large format illustrated xxx: the score of "The Olympic Anthem" by Spyro Samara (or Samaras) (1861-1917). With the discobolus, the wrestlers and the winner's medal, by E.Xpnzidu, this 8-page lithographed score is one of the pillars of the renovation. Text in Greek. Jury" stamp on 4th cover. Published by Deanworth and Cavadis, 43 rue de Stade, Athens. The official anthem, first played in 1896 at the Athens Games, has been the official anthem since 1958. Samara was from Corfu, an island often celebrated by Coubertin in many ways.
Very rare, especially in this condition. Spine damaged.
