Olympic Games/ Winter, 1924/ Chamonix/ Coubertin/Decaris/Figaro/ Three pieces: a) issue of "La Grande Revue", n°3, March 1924, a fine article by Jacques Saunois, in which, between Bossons and Brévent, we find the grace of the tiny, somewhat forgotten Sonja Henie, and the champion Thams; b) A color copy of the February 1924 issue of "Lectures pour tous" with the yellow skier, the 6-page article and a photograph by Cl. Tairraz; c) a 4-panel prestige philatelic brochure, published at the request of the Tourist Office, in 1968, alongside reproductions of posters of Alo (the jumper), and Matisse 2 (the 5-man bobsleigh) revised by engraver Albert Decaris (Olympic champion in London, 1948), enhanced by the 5 official stamps of Grenoble 1968 (with illustrated 1st-day postmark). With 17 facsimile signatures of champions, and a page from the "Figaro" of February 6, 1924, written by Roger Ducret, summarizing this premiere (Coubertin is there). Ex n°364 of 500.
