On the bottom: Krupp Nirosta V2A Stahl Stiftung, Derfried, Krupp A.G. Essen. On the top plate: Organisations-Komitee für die XI Olympiade Berlin 1936*Als Dank Dem Trägen. On the handle, the route of the flame from Olympia to Berlin, via Salonik-Sofia-Belgrad-Budapest-Prague.
