The vermeil winner's medal: obverse, XIV Olympiad, London, 1948, the goddess brandishes the winner's crown, reverse: the winner is carried in triumph. Engraver GC (Giuseppe Cassoli), diam: 5.1 cm smooth edge. Attached is his participant's medal and the Belgian national crest, Le lion d'or, with the rings he wore on his jersey.
