In-4 full contemporary stamped saddle-skin, ribbed spine, brass clasps. Printed entirely in red and black with hoof-nail choral notation. One of the finest liturgical prints from Melchior Lotter's office. According to Hildegard Zimmermann (Livre et écriture I, p. 52), the title border comes from the "Angel Master Concerto". The border of the Angel Concerto is now attributed to Lukas Cranach (Koepplin/Falk I, 211, fig. 172), so Cranach can also be considered the author of the border on the present title page.
