NASA. DEEP SPACE. LARGE FORMAT. An ultra-bright infrared gal - Lot 360
NASA. DEEP SPACE. LARGE FORMAT. An ultra-bright infrared galaxy with a luminosity literally greater than that of a billion suns. This galaxy emits 300 times more light than the Milky Way! This galactic object is the result of a collision between 2 spiral galaxies that began around 700 million years ago, triggering a huge explosion of star formation. The light from this star formation is shrouded in dust, which Webb can see with his infrared vision. Located 250 million light-years away, this galaxy is the closest and brightest object of the 3 galactic mergers closest to us. Vintage chromogenic print. Numbering in the margin on the front. Legend on label on back. 40.6 x 40.6CM with margins.
