CHATELAILLON (Charente Maritime) - Georges MUSSET (attributed to, local historian and future Mayor of Châtelaillon) / Autograph manuscript of a historical article about the discovery of burials and sarcophagi in Châtelaillon, very close to the priory of Saint-Romuald, 19 p in-8, these leaves have been folded and sent, hence the presence of a postmark of La Rochelle dated March 12, 1886; this article follows a communication two years earlier in Georges Musset's "Bulletin des Archives historiques de la Saintonge et l'Aunis" / Joint: set of 3 plans and sketches, including 2 watercolors: annotated site plan, cross-section of the road trench and cross-sections of the excavation.
