[Charles PEGUY] / Commemoration of the fiftieth anniversary of his death in 1964, file kept by medical officer Roland Chartier, who served in the same company as Péguy, member of the "Anciens Combattants de la 55ème Division, 6ème Armée Maunoury" and the "Amis de Charles Péguy": autograph correspondence signed with 2 letters from Victor BOUDON (1887-1979, Péguy's comrade-in-arms), envelopes preserved, about the 1967 preparations for the Cinquantenaire (he transcribes a letter received from General de Gaulle); 1 autograph letter signed by Edmond MICHELET (1899-1970, a great Péguy specialist), with envelope; invitation to a meeting of the association announcing a conference by Victor Boudon, who has just published "Mon Lieutenant Charles Péguy" with Albin Michel (Boudon is said to have collected Péguy's last words); a duplicate of Colonel Chartier's correspondence thanking him for sending us his book on Péguy, "as a combatant of 1914/1918, I am deeply touched by your thoughtfulness", "Charles Péguy is for me a complete ideal", "the loyalty of your memory for your former leader, for this magnificent Frenchman, your testimony brings us the Charles Péguy we loved"; the program for the fiftieth anniversary ceremonies under the patronage of Edmond Michelet; the menu for the "fraternal meal" lunch on September 6, 1964, at Villeroy, where Péguy was killed and where the monument-necropolis is located.
