SOCIALISME / An exceptional document in the history of socialism: this is a postcard addressed to "l'Humanité" journalist Victor Méric (1876-1933) by members of the Union des Partis Socialistes pour l'Action Internationale meeting in Berlin on April 2, 1922 (the card itself has been slightly shortened at the top and bears traces of collage on the back) - Jean LONGUET (1876-1938, socialist activist grandson of Karl Marx) has written and signed "D'une nuit historique dans le Palais du reichstag où fut pleinement réalisé l'unité de front, fraternally yours", followed by the signatures of Robert GRIMM (1881-1958, Swiss socialist leader), Christian RAKOVSKI (1873-1941, Romanian revolutionary socialist and friend of Trotsky), Sen KATAYAMA (1859-1933, Japanese political activist and founder of the Japanese Communist Party), Camille HUYSMANS (1871-1968, Belgian socialist) and Richard Collingham WALLHEAD (1869-1934, British Labour politician).
