SPAIN 1842 - Duc Jacquelin de MAILLE de LA TOUR LANDRY (1815-1874) / 1°) Important correspondence of 24 signed autograph letters (totaling 266 pages!), to his mother the Duchesse de Maillé (1787-1851, née Blanche Le Bacle d'Argenteuil), recounting his trip to Spain from July 7 to December 20, 1842, from Bordeaux, Cauterets, Bayonne, Vittoria, Madrid, Granada, Seville and Cadiz - The young Duc de Maillé cultivated the art of description and observation with the eye of a cultured and curious aristocrat; These very long letters are intended to be preserved, presumably for publication - 2°) What reinforces this potential publication project is the attachment to these letters of a strong file of over 160 autograph pages, entitled "Notes sur l'Espagne 1842" ("Notes on Spain 1842").
