DORDOGNE (Périgord Noir) - Maurice ALBE (1900-1995, painter, engraver and sculptor) / "Les Mois de l'Année" (named in the revolutionary manner), a fine group of representative works by this artist who loved to depict popular peasant traditions: 24 small original pen-and-ink drawings on 6 plates and 2 isolated ones, 11 are intended for a lamp-head print and are signed (chq 8 x 2 cm for the drawing itself), 10 are intended for a lettering print (chq 3 x 3 cm), 1 intended for a lettering has been resized (4.5 x 5 cm), and the 2 others are intended to be printed as woodcuts, note on one plate the original drawing of clogs / Joint : some twenty trial woodcuts of lamp-ends and 3 small plates of printed vignettes.
