COUTANCE (Manche) - "Description de l'Egypte" / Order form for the second edition of this monumental work based on the Egyptian Campaign. In 1820, publisher Charles Louis Panckoucke obtained permission from Charles X to reprint this treasure trove of Bibliophily (the first edition had been initiated in 1809 by Napoleon), and the planned edition of 1,000 copies (26 volumes of text and 11 volumes of illustrated engraved plates) was delivered by subscription: this is the printed order form, presenting this new edition and giving the conditions, the present is signed by the Mayor of Coutances, Monsieur Lepesant and is given on December 22, 1820 (1 p in-4)
