[GRIMOD DE LA REYNIERE] / Set of 3 signed autograph letters - Lot 463
[GRIMOD DE LA REYNIERE] / Set of 3 signed autograph letters addressed to the famous gastronome, each with address page (qq foxing or discoloration): 1°) Madame de LA SABLIERE, from Poissy in 1794, on the death of Grimod's father, hoping that he would continue the pension he had been receiving since the death of Madame d'Orgeval (the father's wife) / 2°) Monsieur SIMON (secretary of the Comité de lecture du Théâtre de l'Impératrice), in May 1808, informing of the transfer of the Théâtre de l'Impératrice to the Théâtre de l'Odéon / 3°) LEVRIER DE CHAMP-RION (Guillaume-Denis, 1749-1825, playwright), in May 1808, expresses his dismay at what he calls "a cabal" against him (presumably his play was not accepted by the reading committee, which included Grimod).
