La Maréchale LANNES. Louise De Guéhéneuc (1782-1856), Duchesse de MONTEBELLO, daughter of the Comte de Guéhéneuc, married Brigadier General Jean Lannes (1769-1809) on September 16, 1800, who was killed at Essling (May 20-21, 1809) and died of his wounds on May 31, 1809. He was the first Marshal to be killed in action - Autograph letter (unsigned) of 1812: "Voulez-vous venir dîner demain... Napoleon is about to leave for RUSSIA. I would be happy to spend a few more moments with you before leaving. I hope my Julie and all the good and kind family are well (...)".
