Stéphanie de BEAUHARNAIS, Grand Duchess of Baden. Stéphanie Louise Adrienne de Beauharnais (1789-1860) was the daughter of ComteClaude de Beauharnais, a relative by marriage of Empress Joséphine, and Adrienne deLezay-Marnésia. She was adopted by Napoleon I in 1806, making her a French Imperial Princess. On April 8, 1806, she married the future Grand DukeCharles II of Baden, son of Crown PrinceCharles-Louis of Baden (1755-1801) and Amélie of Hesse-Darmstadt. She became Grand Duchess of Baden - Letter A.S. Written on August 18, addressed to Baron D'ANDLAW, expressing her desire to see him.
