Joseph-François MICHAUD was a historian, writer, journalist and pamphleteer, Member of the Académie Française (Albens/Savoie 1767 - 1839) Signed MICHAUD, Member of the Académie Française as President of L'Institut Historique, on a patent for "INSTITUT HISTORIQUE fondé le 24 Décembre 1833 et Constitué le 6 avril 1834." Mr. Capitaine François SICARD, attached to the Dépôt de la guerre, is admitted as a full member of the Institut Historique. Paris, June 25, 1834. Also signed by Eugène GARAY DE MONGLAVE (Bayonne 1796-1878) Writer and journalist, founder of Le Diable boiteux, perpetual secretary and founder of the Institut historique.
