Charlotte VANHOVE, Mme TALMA, French actress (1771-1860) known as Caroline, was the daughter of actors Charles Joseph Vanhove and Andrée Coche. She was a member of the Comédie française. During the Revolution, she was arrested as a suspect, remaining loyal to the monarchy, and incarcerated in the Sainte-Pélagie prison, for having performed a theatrical performance deemed seditious: Paméla.
