She was the daughter of Sophie Nichault de la Vallette, a renowned writer and salonnière, and Jean SigismondGay, Seigneur de Lupigny enSavoie, Receveur-Général dudépartement de la Roer. On June 1, 1831, she married Émile de Girardin, born Émile Delamothe, journalist and member of Parliament - Autograph bill signed. Word of apology. Signed "Delphine Girardin". circa 1850.
