Olympic Games/ Summer, 1904/ St Louis. Official award medal Obverse: The two divinities of commerce and trade drape themselves in the ribbon presenting their sponsor, the organizer of: "Universal Exposition St Louis, United States of America, MCMIV. Reverse: The large eagle, wings spread, with the words: Silver medal, Louisiana Purchase, Exposition....". . Insofar as the Games were financed by the organization of the Exposition Universelle, as in Paris in 1900, this medal is indeed Olympic, in a way. Size: 6.5 x 6.5 cm
