Summer Olympics / 1908 / London/ Bertram Mackennal (1863 - 1931) Official participant's medal in its blue case. Obverse: the quadriga of victory, BM. Reverse: around the wings of victory and the trumpet of fame, the previous Olympic cities on the left (Elis, Athens, Paris, StLouis, Londons) and on the right: "In commemoration of the Olympic Games held in London 1908..." by B.MacKennal...Vaughton on the edge. In its blue velvet case signed Vaughtons, Goldsmith and Medaillists, Birmingham, lid signed:" Olympic Games of London, 1908". Diameter: 5 cm
