Exceptional set of 3 official coins:a) participant's medal, obverse: coronation of the winning athlete, reverse: view of Paris, Notre Dame, and inscription "VIII Olympiad, Paris, 1924...". Initials RB (Raoul Bénard (1881-1961), a native of Elbeuf and probable friend of the Baron, he was a pupil of Jules Chaplain, creator of the 1896 winners' medal), bronze, diam : 55, in its RF box, with the seal of Arthus Bertrand, 46 rue de Rennes; b) Rare official badge, the shield, the rings, the arms of Paris, in the blue enamelled border, the words: "VIIIè Olympiade, Paris 1924, PRESSE". With attachment wheel on back, no. 4565, 42x34, TBE; c) The curious sky-blue enameled oval badge, with the rings in close-up, two sprigs of laurel, the arms of Paris, and the words "VIIIè Olympiade 1924". Brooch on back. TBE, 30x20.
