Clotilde de SAXE-COBOURG GOTHA. Marie Adélaïde AmélieClotilde de Saxe-Cobourg-Gotha (1846-1927), Princess of Saxony, then by marriage Princessepalatina of Hungary. Clotilde de Saxe-Cobourg-Kohary was the eldest daughter of PrinceAuguste de Saxe-Cobourg-Kohary and the French Princess Clémentine d'Orléans. The eldest sister of King Ferdinand I of Bulgaria, she is also related, through her father, to the royal families of Belgium, Portugal and the United Kingdom, while her mother is descended from the French King Louis-Philippe I. On May 12, 1864, the Princess married Archduke Joseph of Habsburg-Lorraine, Count Palatine of Hungary, son of Archduke Joseph Antoine of Habsburg-Lorraine, Count Palatine of Hungary, and his third wife Princess Dorothée of Wurtemberg - Courtesy A.S. letter addressed to a Baron.
