SOMME - Photography - Joseph KEILHAUSER (b. 1874, German photographer based in Amiens) / Original photograph on salted paper, very large format (28 x 39 cm mounted on 47.5 x 61 cm card), handwritten caption underneath "Déraillement de l'express n° 10 à Ailly-sur-Noye(9 septembre 1890)", cardboard printed with photographer's name and address (NB: it was on September 3, 1890 that the Calais-Paris express struck a fallen beam from a freight train and rolled down the embankment, killing 1 and injuring 5).
