Loulé" and is an article in the form of an open letter to Edmond Magnier (the editor-in-chief of "l'Evénement" and is entitled "L'Evènement à Londres", in which he humorizes about the English, a strange people to visit, savage tribes to civilize, bizarre mores to study, frightening social depths to fathom" (6 p in-8); the other, unsigned, is a short story entitled "Papa", in 3 parts: "Madame la Préfète - La Cour d'assises - Le justicier", Madame la Préfète volage causes scandal, her husband is dismissed, the family returns to Paris in a miserable furnished apartment, the préfète indulges in prostitution, seduces the son of a notary who steals from his father to support him, the notary accuses his clerk, also a client of the préfète, of the theft, the notary threatens the préfète but is seduced by her daughter,...
