Athletics/ Ladoumègue/ Signatures Five photos of the unforgettable Jules Ladoumègue (1906-1973), in two sets: a) Three superb silver prints, two with handwritten dedications: in 1935, he congratulates Melle Girouy, winner of the Cross des non-licenciés (18x12); under the jersey of the French team, during an international match in Colombes, with a beautiful signature at bottom right (18x13), we can make out his grandiose 2m25 stride; carried in triumph by CASG rugby players (at half-time of a match), probably after one of his 3 world records on the Jean-Bouin stadium. With large dedication (17.5x24) b) Two Prestine-Velox prints at Pershing, during the mile challenge (17.5x12.5). A fine set of prints of one of our first great racers, shattered by absurd amateurism laws. Let's not forget that Julot was also runner-up in the Olympic 1500m in 1928, and was revered by Mitterrand.
