Boxing/ French Boxing/ Cane/ Militaria/ Joinville An astonishing set of over forty photo cards and a few chromos, some written, stamped or not, in color or black and white. Most revolve around the Ecole Normale Militaire de Gymnastique de Joinville. In uniform, in lighter clothes, platoons and instructors practiced all the French boxing moves (flank kick, chassé, brisé, bas) at the Faisanderie. With a few cards, we venture to Saint Cyr, Nancy, Clamecy, Cherbourg (navy), Toul, Montevrain, Orléans 1904-05. The Zouaves make an appearance. Five images of the cane and one of the slipper broaden the range.
