Boxing/ Billy Balzac Astonishing collector's notebook of contacts' business cards assembled in 1921 by champion Billy Balzac (1891-1973), 18 x 13 cm, used condition This middleweight from the Béziers area was French and European middleweight champion, and an aviation war hero in 14-18 (flew Caudron, ended up as captain). This piece bears witness to a great sense of organization, a methodical mind and a sense of human relations, which must have facilitated his successful reconversion to the fledgling air freight business. There's a lot of talk about the delicate problem of the post-sport, post-war era, and here we have an uncommon example of success. Around 94 business cards from leading figures of the time, from the worlds of business, nobility and politics (Paul Reynaud, Paul Doumer, André Tardieu, etc.).
